Materials and Process Engineer (m/f/x)

Join our Engineering team and take ownership of the materials and manufacturing processes behind our high-performance composite aircraft. You will qualify materials, develop and validate our wet layup and bonding processes, and safeguard quality from material selection through certification to production.
Key Responsibilities
Selection, qualification and release of materials (CFRP/GFRP, adhesives, core materials, metals) for aerospace applications
Development, optimization and validation of manufacturing processes with a focus on wet layup, bonding and surface treatment
Creation and maintenance of material and process specifications and work instructions
Handling of material and process deviations including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Support of part and process qualification within type certification (EASA Part 21)
Coordination and evaluation of destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT)
Close cooperation with Design, Production, Quality Assurance and Procurement
Qualifications
University degree in materials, aerospace, mechanical or process engineering or a comparable field, or technical training with relevant experience
Sound knowledge of composite materials and their manufacturing processes
Experience in aviation or a regulated industry (AS9100, EASA Part 21) is a plus
Structured, analytical and quality-driven way of working
Good command of German and English
