Program Manager Mission Systems (m/f/d)

YOUR ROLE
Lead and orchestrate cross-functional programs comprising multiple interdependent projects for the integration of mission and ISR systems into manned and unmanned airborne platforms
Define the program roadmap, establish governance structures, and ensure strategic alignment with business objectives and customer requirements
Own program budget, timeline, and KPI frameworks; deliver executive-level reporting including quarterly reviews and stage-gate assessments
Serve as the primary interface between customers, internal leadership, engineering disciplines (avionics, structures, SW/HW), and external partners
Consolidate and baseline requirements from diverse sources (customer, regulatory, internal) and ensure full traceability throughout the program lifecycle
Build and continuously improve pragmatic requirements tracking processes and tooling
Conduct and maintain risk and opportunity management at program level; define mitigation strategies and escalation paths
Align and negotiate competing priorities across project teams to maximize overall program benefit and resolve dependencies
YOUR PROFILE
Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Program or project management qualification (e.g., PgMP, PMP, PRINCE2) is a strong plus
Several years of experience in technical program or project management, ideally in aerospace, ISR, or defense
Proven track record of managing multi-project programs with cross-functional teams
Experience with requirements management tools such as Jira, DOORS, or Jama
Familiarity with aerospace standards and certification (e.g., DO-178C, STANAGs) is highly desirable
Strong stakeholder and customer management skills at both executive and engineering level
Proactive, structured, and results-driven – even in dynamic environments with evolving processes
Fluent in German and English; international program experience is a plus
